Hydraulic hose overview

Our SAE standard hydraulic hoses are designed for use with petroleum-based and water-based hydraulic oils. They come in different lengths, diameters, and hose fitting sizes and vary in pressure based on the ID diameter. Longer length decrease pressure in the system.

The Inner Diameter (I.D.) and Outer Diameter (O.D.) of a hose is important and is dependent on your application. The difference between O.D. and I.D. is the thickness of the tube and any other tube features. All hoses will have an inside tube, then steel reinforcement and then an outer cover.
